Grievance Policy

At A New Beginning Resource Center, we are committed to maintaining a respectful, inclusive, and supportive environment for all individuals engaging with our programs and services. We recognize the importance of addressing concerns and grievances in a fair, transparent, and timely manner.

1. Purpose

This policy establishes a process for individuals to raise concerns related to discrimination, harassment, unfair treatment, or other grievances regarding our programs, services, or workplace environment.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all staff, volunteers, participants, clients, partners, and any other stakeholders involved with A New Beginning Resource Center.

3. Grievance Submission Process

If you have a concern, we encourage you to follow these steps:

Step 1: Informal Resolution

  • If you feel comfortable, address the issue directly with the person(s) involved.

  • If the issue remains unresolved, seek guidance from a program supervisor or designated representative.

Step 2: Formal Complaint

If the matter cannot be resolved informally, submit a written grievance via email to a.new.b.center@gmail.com or via mail to 325 West Compton Blvd., Compton, CA 90220 with the following details:

  • Your name and contact information

  • A clear description of the grievance

  • Any supporting evidence or documentation

  • The desired resolution or outcome

Step 3: Review and Investigation

  • Upon receiving the grievance, an internal review will be initiated.

  • The investigation may include discussions with involved parties and a review of supporting documents.

  • The complainant will be updated on the progress and expected resolution timeframe.

Step 4: Resolution and Decision

  • A formal response will be provided within 14 days.

  • Appropriate corrective actions will be taken as necessary to resolve the issue.

4. Confidentiality

All grievances will be handled with strict confidentiality. Information will only be shared with individuals directly involved in the investigation and resolution process.

5. Non-Retaliation

Retaliation against any individual who submits a grievance in good faith is strictly prohibited. Any form of retaliation will be subject to disciplinary action.

6. Appeal Process

If you are unsatisfied with the resolution, you may submit an appeal within 30 days, providing additional evidence or a valid reason for reconsideration.
