Born and raised in Compton, CA has spent her entire academic career focusing on ways to improve the academic, social, and emotional experience of people in her community, especially the youth. She was bused to outside neighborhoods for school and extra curricular activities and she wants to make sure that her community has those things within reach for the city of Compton. She earned her BA from CSUDH, followed by her Teaching Credential, Masters in Curriculum and Instruction, and second Masters in Education Administration, and lastly her Doctorate in K-12 Leadership from the University of Southern California. Her lifelong dedication has been to create programs that eliminate the barriers that exists for marginalized communities to help them reach optimal success.
